Rock Hill teen gets life for robbery killing

ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) — A Rock Hill teen has been sentenced to life in prison for killing another teen during a robbery.

The Herald of Rock Hill reports (http://bit.ly/v0J6Ti) that a York County jury convicted 19-year-old Davontay Henson of murder and armed robbery last week. Co-defendant 19-year-old Donte Reid was convicted of three counts of armed robbery and sentenced to 35 years in prison.

Investigators say the suspects robbed three men of $25 in cash, a pack of cigarettes and two cell phones as they sat on a porch in October 2009.

The men cooperated, but Henson fired on them, striking 18-year-old Tyrone King in the head and killing him
