Ho, ho, no: SC fighting holiday drunken driving
WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina officials are launching a new campaign intended to fight drunken driving during the holidays.
The Department of Public Safety and the South Carolina Hospitality Association are getting together at Terra Restaurant in West Columbia Thursday to unveil their “Be a SANTA” campaign.
The campaign is intended to promote use of a designated driver, and officials say they’re using the Columbia area as a pilot for the program. There is also a television ad being unveiled.
Restaurants and bars are expected to participate in the campaign.
