Greenville deputies release shooting victim’s name

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Greenville County authorities have released the name of a woman shot to death at her home.

Deputy Coroner Kent Dill says 53-year-old Yolanda Kim Thurston was found in a bedroom of her home early Monday morning. Dill says he thinks Thurston was found several hours after she was shot.

Her husband, 55-year-old Jimmy Stephen Thurston, has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Sheriff’s spokesman Zach Hinton says the shooting appeared to have been a domestic dispute.
