Gingrich, Perry bring presidential campaigns to SC
GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Two candidates seeking the Republican presidential nomination are campaigning in South Carolina.
Newt Gingrich meets with business leaders in Greenville on Thursday morning.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry is in Mount Pleasant on Thursday morning for an appearance at the Yorktown. He then heads to Beaufort and Bluffton before campaigning in Greenville.
Both candidates are campaigning in advance of next month’s first-in-the-South GOP primary in South Carolina. The primary is Jan. 21.
