SRS workers holding drive for Toys for Tots
AIKEN, S.C. (AP) — Employees at a former nuclear weapons site near Aiken are collecting toys for children this holiday season.
Workers at the Savannah River Site are holding their annual Toys for Tots event on Thursday. Officials are picking up the toys collected, and there is also a check presentation and a victory celebration.
Last year, U.S. Marine Corps Reservists collected about 13,000 toys during the SRS Toys for Tots drive.
