Lexington Police: Women Stole Gifts for Needy Kids

LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) – Lexington police say two women stole presents a motel was collecting for needy children. Investigators said the women took coloring books, crayons and at least 20 pairs of gloves Sunday morning from a box in the lobby of the Value Place Inn. They were captured on the motel’s surveillance cameras. Police say the items were donated gifts for Lexington Interfaith Community Services, a group that provides help for needy families in Lexington County.
