Police: Man gets DUI in McDonald’s drive-thru
ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) — Rock Hill police say a man has been charged with driving under the influence after he ran into another car in the drive-thru of a McDonald’s restaurant.
Investigators told The Herald of Rock Hill (http://bit.ly/rtosFc) that 40-year-old Derek Wylie’s blood-alcohol level was 0.21 percent when he was arrested early Wednesday morning. The legal limit in South Carolina is 0.08 percent.
Police say Wylie told officers he had three beers at his house and then headed to McDonald’s because he was hungry.
Authorities say Wylie rear-ended the car in front of him in the drive-thru and was two hours off when asked what time it was.
A listing for Wylie couldn’t be found and it wasn’t clear if he had an attorney.
