Special needs dog of autistic child stolen in SC
MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say someone stole the special needs dog of an autistic child from her family’s front yard in Moncks Corner.
WCSC-TV in Charleston (http://bit.ly/v5icyD) is reporting the dog, an American Bull Terrier named Toby, was taken on Tuesday by someone who stopped in front of the house in a car. Berkeley County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a white female with blonde hair.
Kelly Nolan says her daughter, Allie, is taking it hardest. She says her daughter doesn’t understand where the dog is and why he is gone. She said the dog makes her daughter safe when playing outside and can tell the difference in the child’s cries to know if she is upset.
The family is offering a reward for the return of Toby.
