COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — A day after a federal judge rules that Occupy Columbia protesters must no longer camp out on the State house grounds with tents and other sleeping materials, they present Gov. Nikki Haley with an early Christmas gift…a tent. Dozens of Occupy Columbia protesters marched from the State House to the Governor’s Mansion to deliver to the governor what they call ‘an early Christmas gift.’ They set up a tent out at the gate of the mansion with decorations and a bow wrapped around it. It was signed by several occupiers. Demonstrators say their gesture was to let Gov. Haley know they are not going away, in spite of the federal judge’s ruling. The demonstrators plan to return to their protest schedule January 7th.
