Contraband Arrest

Kershaw Co., SC (WOLO)– Kershaw County deputies say a traffic stop lead to the discovery of contraband bound for a local prison. Sheriff Jim Matthews says on December 23rd deputies pulled 18 year old Jonathan Gonzalez over for speeding on I-20. When they searched his car, Sheriff Matthews says deputies found a large amount of tobacco and cell phones that had been prepared to be thrown over the fence at Lee Correctional Institute. Deputies say this is the second time Gonzalez has been arrested with contraband.
