3 charged after body found at Greenville church

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — A man has been charged with murder in the death of a 50-year-old victim whose body was left outside a Greenville church.

Police said 35-year-old Arthur Ferguson was arrested Friday. Investigators say he beat Billy Joe Jamison to death in a home before getting two other people to help him move the victim’s body to the church last Monday.

Authorities say the other two men loaded Jamison’s body into a shopping cart and rolled it to the church.

Police say 59-year-old Odies Gambrell and 34-year-old Michael Keys are charged with accessory after the fact to murder. It wasn’t clear if any of the suspects had attorneys.
