1 charged with murder in Charleston kidnapping

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — A murder charge has been filed against one man in the kidnapping and death of a Charleston County man last month.

Twenty-nine-year-old Travaris D. Walker of Charleston has been charged with murder and possession of a gun during a violent crime.

Marquis Rashad Richardson was found shot to death in Lincolnville on Dec. 20.

Police think Richardson was abducted and killed in Charleston on Dec. 19 before his body was dumped beside some railroad tracks.

Three others are charged as accessories before and after murder. They are 23-year-old Latasha Yvette McCall of Charleston, 22-year-old King Dominique Wilson of North Charleston and 29-year-old Fredrick Andre Sanders of North Charleston.

Investigators think a dispute over unreturned properly led to the kidnapping and death.

All four earlier had been charged with kidnapping.
