Swinney Strikes Back At Media

CLEMSON, S.C. (WOLO) — Dabo Swinney did not have his best day at the podium during his Friday the 13th presser. In the press conference, Swinney was asked numerous times if former defensive coordinator Kevin Steele (who left the team on Thursday) was fired or resigned. Swinney would not confirm if the issue was either. He did say he and Steele agreed to disagree and have decided to part ways. As the press conference went on, Swinney was asked about the 10-4 season for the Tigers and what other changes may come Clemson’s way. “We got some guys that are really, really talented that ain’t very tough right now, ain’t very physical,” said Swinney. “And that‘s just a part of the process.” ABC Columbia’s Rob Brennan later followed up that quote with a question. The question Brennan used was actually from a Clemson fan who tweeted the question to Brennan. Brennan asked, “In those four losses, it was almost like you hit Clemson in the mouth and you got them where you want them. You know, how do you change that attitude?” Swinney then argued with Brennan. And later said he needed to get his facts straight. You can watch the interaction in the video screen above.
