Feed the Children to deliver 2 trucks of food
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Feed the Children is helping a local South Carolina group deliver two tractor-trailer trucks full of food to needy families.
Spokesman Mark Opgrande says the organization is delivering the trucks Thursday to God’s Storehouse in Columbia.
Opgrande says God’s Storehouse has identified families who are to receive the items. Each family will get a 25-pound box of food, a 10-pound box of personal care items and a box of Avon products. The boxes are designed to help a family of four for up to one week.
The charity says the distribution is part of Feed the Children’s Feeding Americans Caravan, which has helped more than 325,000 families across the country since 2009.
