COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The last time an election was held on a Saturday in South Carolina was four years ago, and election officials hope this weekend’s primary goes as smoothly. Election officials encourage voters to know the status of their candidate of choice prior to heading to the polls. they also advise locating where you should vote prior to leaving home, as some polling places have moved or are being combined to cut costs. Polls are open from 7:00am to 7:00pm. They say the afternoon rush won’t resemble Tuesday night elections; Saturdays, they feel, will be a more relaxed day of casting ballots.
