Conway adding cameras along its popular riverfront

COINWAY, S.C. (AP) — The city of Conway is taking step to crack down on vandals who in the past have ripped up brass plaques and tossed planters into the river from a park and the city’s riverfront.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reports (http://bit.ly/z33gsl ) the city is now installing video cameras in its Riverfront Park and Marina and along the popular Riverwalk along the Waccamaw River.

The cost is expected to be about $173,000.
