Stem Cell Research Address

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ An expert in the area of stem cell research in medicine spoke at the University of South Carolina Tuesday night. University spokesman Steven Powell says Elaine Fuchs, who is a researcher with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Maryland, held an address, free and open to the public at the law school auditorium on the USC campus in Columbia. Fuchs spoke on stem cells of the skin and the promise they hold for clinical and biological work. Her address is part of the College of Arts and Sciences series on the impact of biotechnology and medicine in the 21st century.
