Clemson QB Recruit Kelly Causes Quite A Stir

(WOLO) — Chad Kelly has people talking, and it’s not just because the highly-recruited Clemson commit is Hall of Famer Jim Kelly’s nephew. Kelly was a hot topic throughout the state of South Carolina Thursday after a Twitter exchange with Clemson back-up quarterback Cole Stoudt. Kelly started the exchange by tweeting, “Your on the bench for a reason! And I come soon! Just letting you know.” Stoudt responded on Twitter with, “I hate those that talk like their the s*** when they haven’t done anything yet.” Kelly fired back with “Im going to Clemson to Play my Freshman year i ain’t going just to sit on the bench! Everyday im coming to work and be the best!” This isn’t the first time Kelly has made disparaging public comments about Stoudt. In an interview with TigerIllustrated.com earlier this month, Kelly said, “Cole doesn’t have that oomph right now, and Tajh needs that every day…for someone to push him and keep him working so he gets better.” Kelly is expected to visit the Clemson campus this weekend. –Information from SC Sportstalk Radio Network contributed to this report
