Shooter from outside kills woman in Rock Hill home

ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) — Police say a woman has been shot to death while sitting in the living room of her Rock Hill home, less than two months after officers investigated another report of shots being fired into her house.

Authorities said 41-year-old Elonia Ware was struck by a bullet just above her left eye Tuesday night. Investigators say her son and boyfriend also were in the home, but were not injured.

Investigators haven’t determined a motive for the shooting, but said they don’t think the home was picked at random.

Police also were called to the home on Dec. 2 after at least three shots were fired into it. No one was injured, and no arrests were made in the incident.
