State Farmers Market hosting pre-Super Bowl sale

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The State Farmers Market is offering South Carolina football fans a chance to stock up on all the supplies they need for their Super Bowl parties.

An indoor Certified SC Winter Farmers Market is scheduled for Saturday at the market in West Columbia.

Organizers say the Super Bowl is the second-largest day of food consumption in the U.S., behind Thanksgiving.

There will be a variety of products available from the department’s “Certified SC” program that encourages residents to buy food grown and produced in the state. There are also 20 vendors offering everything from fresh milk and ice cream to handmade soap and lotion.

The New England Patriots and the New York Giants meet Sunday in Indianapolis.
