Cops charge son in SC man’s stabbing death

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — Police have charged a North Myrtle Beach man in the stabbing death of his father.

Police say 31-year-old Lucas James Permenter was arrested Sunday and charged with murder.

Authorities had been looking for Permenter since finding the body of his father, 59-year-old Eugene Permenter, in his home around noon Saturday.

Officials say Eugene Permenter’s brother came to the home and found his brother dead. The father and son lived together, but Lucas Permenter was not home at the time.

It wasn’t known if Lucas Permenter had an attorney.
