2nd suspect charged in Horry shooting death
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — Horry County police are looking for a second suspect in the shooting death of a man last week.
Officers have obtained a warrant for 21-year-old Kareem Labonte Vereen charging him with murder. Police think Vereen is armed and dangerous.
Thirty-three-year-old Gemell Drakeford was shot in the leg in the Wampee section of Horry County on Thursday. Drakeford died about 90 minutes later at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Twenty-one-year-old Jamar Hashawn Wilson was arrested Friday and was charged with murder.
