Fiance of missing Mount Pleasant woman found dead
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (AP) — The fiance of a missing Mount Pleasant woman has been found dead, although police say the investigation is active and they’re not certain the death and the disappearance are linked.
Investigators found the body of 34-year-old David Hedrick on Friday, inside the home he shared with 30-year-old Dara Watson, an accountant. She was last seen Monday in Boone, N.C., by her mother and last heard from Wednesday, when cell phone records indicate she sent her boss a text message saying she was fine.
Also Friday, police found the sports utility vehicle belonging to Watson in a wooded area.
Hedrick owned a bail bond company. Authorities aren’t saying how he died.
Mount Pleasant Police Chief Harry Sewell says authorities are still trying to piece together the puzzle.
