Forum focuses on people in coastal management
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Coastal management is about marine and natural sciences, but it’s also about people.
That’s the focus of a two-day meeting sponsored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Coastal Service Center. The meeting begins on Tuesday In Charleston.
The meeting includes speakers from around the nation and is being called the Social Coast Forum. It includes discussions of such things as social marketing, social sciences and including information about people in making decisions about coastal management.
NOAA’s Coastal Service Center is located in Charleston.
