SC investigators look into death in Taylors fire
GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Investigators in Greenville say they are looking into the death of a woman found in a home that had been destroyed by a fire in Taylors.
Greenville County deputy coroner Barry Wright said Wednesday the woman has not been identified. Wright says investigators are using X-rays, dental and fingerprint records to aid in the identification and an autopsy was to be performed.
He says the death is being treated as a possible homicide.
Taylors Fire Chief Bobby Baker says firefighters were called to the scene early Tuesday. The body was discovered after debris was removed.
Wright says a car linked to the fire scene by its registration was found a few hours later about six miles away.
