1 charged with killing, dismembering SC man
ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — Police say an acquaintance has confessed to killing and dismembering a homeless man whose mutilated body was found at a downtown Anderson building.
Sgt. Tony Tilley says 44-year-old Leslie Warren Sandoval had been charged with murder and weapons possession. It wasn’t known if he had an attorney.
Investigators say Sandoval voluntarily went with them late Friday night to talk about the death of 53-year-old Seth Barton Foster.
Sandoval told authorities he strangled Foster last month and used a knife to remove the Belton man’s head, hands and feet. Police say they found the knife after Sandoval told him where it was.
Authorities say both men were homeless.
