SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Police say four student athletes from Spartanburg Methodist College kicked their way into a home and stole more than $100,000 in jewelry and electronics.

Spartanburg Public Safety Capt. Regina Nowak says 18-year-old William Paul Price, 18-year-old Jeremy Patrick Buckner, 19-year-old Brandon Michael Landrie and 19-year-old Phillip Jordan Nelson have been charged with second-degree burglary and grand larceny.

Nowak says the four kicked in the door of a home on Feb. 7 and stole more than $115,000 in jewelry and electronics.

Police say Price, Buckner and Landrie are on the baseball team at Spartanburg Methodist College. Nelson is on the school’s soccer team.
