Spartanburg County closes park to check on coyotes

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Spartanburg County has closed a park in the Boiling Springs community temporarily after someone reported possible coyote activity in the area.

Va-Du-Mar McMillian Park will be closed through March 7.

The parks department has hired a trapper to determine if there is a problem. Officials expect to decide when to reopen the park after getting the report from the trapper by March 7.
