Financial literacy seminar set for SC teens
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Young people are getting a chance to find out about money, banking basics and financial management during a seminar on financial literacy in North Charleston.
The event is scheduled for Saturday at Charleston Southern University.
The seminar is for young people ages 12 to 21 and is being sponsored by the university, Junior Achievement of Coastal Carolina and the Homeowner Resource Center.
The seminar divides the participants into three groups by ages. It includes topics such as basic budgeting, using a debit card, smart ways to use credit and how to find a job.
