TV’s ‘Judge Hatchett’ coming to SC State event

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — A television judge is helping South Carolina State University celebrate its 116th birthday.

The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reports (http://bit.ly/wXgq2D ) that Glenda Hatchett is visiting the Orangeburg school on Sunday to celebrate Founders’ Day Weekend. Hatchett is giving a keynote address.

Hatchett is host of the Emmy-nominated “Judge Hatchett.” She was formerly a juvenile court judge in Fulton County, Ga., and also once worked as an attorney at Delta Air Lines, representing the airline in labor and antitrust litigation.

She has also served on the board of directors for Hospital Corporation of America and for The ServiceMaster Company.

Other Founders’ Day Weekend events include an exhibition of Andy Warhol artwork and a scholarship gala.
