Myrtle Beach authorities find electrocuted body

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — Horry County officials are trying to determine the identity of a person found apparently electrocuted after Myrtle Beach firefighters responded to a blaze.

Police Lt. Doug Furlong says firefighters were called to burning shed around 2 p.m. Tuesday. Furlong says firefighters found the body of a person who appeared to have been electrocuted.

Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard is awaiting autopsy results. The victim has not yet been identified.

Fire Chief Calvin Payne says investigators are trying to determine if the fire and apparent electrocution are connected.
