Worker killed after getting caught in machine

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (AP) — A 48-year-old worker has died after he got caught in a machine at a Berkeley County asphalt plant.

Authorities said Lamar Ravenell died at the hospital after firefighters rescued him from a concrete auger at the Sanders Brothers asphalt plant near Summerville around 11 a.m. Tuesday.
