4 men get sentences in robbery, death of SC woman
FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) — Four men charged in connection with robbing and killing a Florence woman more than three years ago have been sentenced.
The Morning News of Florence (http://bit.ly/A54t3Y ) reports 18-year-old Anthony Wilson was sentenced Monday to 30 years in prison for murder, while 22-year-old Rashawn Bailey was given 20 years for first-degree burglary. Both men pleaded guilty.
Two other men involved in the robbery and death of 69-year-old Willie Mae Hayes in August 2008 were given credit for the time they served in prison since the crime.
The man described by prosecutors as the mastermind of the robbery, 26-year-old David Johnson, was found guilty of murder last month and was sentenced to life without parole.
Authorities say three men broke into Hayes’ home and stabbed her while she was asleep.
