Gas Leak Closes Lanes in Downtown Columbia

Columbia, SC (WOLO)– A gas leak is causing a traffic tie-up in Downtown Columbia. A spokesperson for the Columbia Fire Department says the break happened on Marion St. between Elmwood and Calhoun St. at 12:30 Wednesday afternoon. As a result three of the four lanes on Elmwood have been shut down. Officials expect the repair efforts to go on for quite some time.
