Goats in Anderson County give up hiding suspect

ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — Authorities are crediting some observant goats for helping officers find a man who ran away from a car after it crashed during a police chase.

Anderson County Sheriff’s spokesman Chad McBride told the Anderson Independent-Mail (http://bit.ly/AmLF1L ) that officers searching for the man in a helicopter noticed several goats in a pasture looking toward some trees.

McBride says deputies on the ground went into the woods where the goats were staring and found the suspect.

The man ran away after a car he was in crashed during a police chase Tuesday. Another person in the car was arrested at the scene of the wreck.
