Dillon man killed at Marion nightclub

MARION, S.C. (AP) — Marion police are investigating the shooting death of a Dillon man in a nightclub.

Police were called to the club around 3:30 a.m. Sunday and found a group of about 30 men.

Officers say 23-year-old Rondale McEachern was found in the parking lot near the nightclub.

Marion County Coroner Jerry Richardson pronounced McEachern dead at the scene. His body has been sent to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston for an autopsy.

Witnesses said McEachern and others had been arguing in the club and were escorted out to the parking lot.

No charges have been filed.
