(WOLO) When thinking about what to do for his senior thesis, Cullen Clair knew whatever it was going to be it had to make a difference. After seeing how many unused shoes he had in his on closet he decided he was going to give back in a big way. Throughout the week Cullen is teaming up with the non profit organization “Sole for Souls”. The goal is to collect hundreds of shoes for the 300 million children worldwide who are either too economically depressed or who experienced a disaster and can’t afford footwear. “If people can find it in their hearts ti just give one or two pairs of shoes we can make a difference in thousands of lives.” says Cullen. The Senior who also happens to be in a fraternity, spent Monday night going door to door in the Greek Campus community collecting those items we often take for granted – shoes. You can drop off a location att he Russell House Bookstore until Thursday. Friday all of the donations will be shipped to Gaffney where a distribution center will send the shoes to people in need. Cullen is also hoping this is just the beginning, his written thesis is a step by step operations manual on how the charity works, giving students a chance to make the effort an annual tradition.
