Identities of slain SC women released
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — The names of two women found dead behind an abandoned mobile home in Orangeburg County have been released.
Authorities say the bodies of 21-year-old Hope Bowers and 37-year-old Latonia Profit were found Tuesday in Cope. Deputies have not said how the women died. An autopsy was planned for Wednesday.
Deputies say they are looking for a man they think killed the women, then took one of their cars to Louisiana, where he was involved in a wreck.
Investigators say 27-year-old Vicente Mendoza is wanted for two counts of murder and may be on his way to Mexico.
