Boy, 14 arrested after loaded gun found at school

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Greenville County deputies say a 14-year-old boy has been arrested after a loaded gun was found in his middle school.

Investigators said a school police officer received a tip that the boy brought a gun to school and found the weapon in a classroom at Lakeview Middle School around 11:30 a.m. Monday.

The boy has been charged with possession of a firearm on school property and disturbing schools. Authorities did not release his name because of his age and his case will be handled in Family Court.
