Meeting focuses on Charleston economic outlook

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Business leaders in the Charleston area are getting a preview of what the next year will mean for the local economy.

The annual Economic Outlook Conference sponsored by the area chamber of commerce on Thursday also features a look at national economic trends in remarks by Wells Fargo economist Mark Vitner.

Other panelists at the conference in North Charleston include the chamber’s Mary Graham, College of Charleston President George Benson and Frank Hefner, the director of the college’s school of business.
