No Charges Filed in Apparent Fight Video

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ Sumter County deputies say no charges will be filed in a fight in a middle school bathroom that was uploaded to the Internet. Sheriff Anthony Dennis released a second video of the fight to reporters Monday, and it shows the eighth-graders slapping hands before they square off at Hillcrest Middle School last week. The boy’s mother posted a 38-second clip that showed her son being put in a chokehold and then slammed into the wall and floor. She also held an anti-bullying protest at the school Monday. Dennis says both boys said they were friends before the incident and the video does not show one teen help the other get up off the floor. Sumter County School District officials say both boys will be disciplined for fighting at school.
