Update to Irmo Shooting: Sheriff ” Aggressive Investigating”
IRMO, S.C. (AP) — Sheriff Leon Lott says they are being aggressive in the investigation into the double shootings on Tackeria Court in Ascot. Lott says they are gathering forensic evidence and compiling a timeline, once that is complete, he tells ABC Columbia News the findings will be released. In an incident report obtained Monday by ABC Columbia News it states the complaintant was in the driveaway, unarmed, when deputies arrived. The report lists the complaintant as Brett Parker, the victims husband. Richland County Coroner Gary Watts released the names of the two individuals killed Friday on Tackeria Court in the Ascot sub-division. The incident happened around 12:15pm, Friday, April, 13th. Tammy Parker, DOB, 1-13-1968, #12 Tackeria Court, Irmo, SC, 29063 was found in the upstairs office of her home and was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body says Watts. Brian Capnerhurst, DOB, 4-19-1965, 500blk of Ridge Road, Batesburg-Leesville, SC, 29070 was found in an upstairs storage space near the office. Mr. Capnerhurst also died from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene says Watts. The woman’s husband was also in the home, and deputies are questioning him and examining the crime scene to figure out exactly what happened. Investigators say the couple has two children who were at school when the shootings happened. The Richland County Sheriffs Department continues to investigate the incident.
