SC prosecutor doing domestic violence law training
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson’s office is helping people understand the state’s laws on domestic violence.
The top prosecutor on Tuesday is offering a training program called “Domestic Violence and the Law.” The course is intended for law enforcement officers, judges and prosecutors, as well as victim advocates and members of the faith community.
The free event being put on by Wilson’s S.T.O.P. Violence Against Women Program features Susan Murphy Milano. The author lives in Surfside Beach and has written several books about how to successfully stay out of abusive relationships.
