ST. HELENA ISLAND, S.C. (AP) — Two Beaufort County teens have died in a wreck on St. Helena Island.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says a third teen was injured in the wreck Saturday night.

Troopers say the car the girls were in veered off a road, overturned and hit a tree.

Coroner Ed Allen says the victims were 18-year-old Chelsie Faulk of Lady’s Island and 15-year-old Kayleeana Hudson-Banks of St. Helena Island.

A 16-year-old girl in the back seat of the car was flown to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Ga. Officials would not release her name or condition.

Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Brent Kelly says Faulk was driving. Kelly says all three girls were wearing seat belts.
