Drive-By Victim Dies, Family Speaks

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — What Columbia police call a drive-by shooting has authorities looking for one of the drivers and the family of the victim planning a funeral. Investigators say 22-year-old Derrick Conners may not have been an innocent victim in a deadly shooting over the weekend. They say the incident, which occurred in the 4500 block of North Main St. around 2:00 Saturday morning, was ‘not a random incident,’ nor was it an isolated incident. Meanwhile, family members are planning his funeral.
