Richland sheriff holding crime prevention meeting
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Richland County’s top law officer is inviting people from across the area to come together and talk about ways to prevent crime.
Sheriff Leon Lott on Wednesday is holding a meeting to discuss the United Network of Communities on Law and Enforcement program.
Lott says the UNCLE program is made up of neighborhoods throughout Richland County that keep each other informed of criminal activity in their areas.
Lott says UNCLE has played a big role in protesting night clubs that have continually caused problems in some neighborhoods.
