Day Two USC-Clemson NFL Draft Recap

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — Alshon Jeffery was selected in the second round (45th overall) of the NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears on Friday night. The former Gamecock wide-out leaves USC as the school’s all-time leader in receiving yards (3,042). Three Clemson Tigers were selected Friday as well. Defensive end Andre Branch went in the second round (38th overall) to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tight end Dwayne Allen was the first overall pick of the third round (64th overall) by the Indianapolis Colts. Defensive tackle Brandon Thompson was selected in the third round (93rd overall) by the Cincinnati Bengals. The player that seemed to go under the radar on most draft experts board was former Ridge View high school stand-out out Brian Quick. Quick, who played wide receiver at Appalachian State, was the first player selected overall on day two of the NFL draft. Quick will play professionally with the St. Louis Rams.
