Man found shot to death in car in Spartanburg

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Spartanburg County deputies are trying to figure out who shot a 43-year-old man found dead in a running car.

Authorities said a deputy was checking on a suspicious car called in by a neighborhood watch around 5 a.m. Saturday when he found the body of Thomas Cash Jr.

Investigators released few details on the killing, and have not identified any suspects or a motive

Deputies did say they are treating the case as a homicide.
