Authorities name woman found dead on I-26 ramp

JEDBURG, S.C. (AP) — Berkeley County authorities say a woman whose body was dumped on an Interstate 26 entrance ramp had been shot in the head.

Coroner Bill Salisbury says the woman has been identified as 31-year-old Luh Endang Susiani of Indonesia.

Investigators say Susiani and a man were carjacked in a North Charleston parking lot Friday night, and the suspect made the woman get in the car with him.

Susiani’s body was found at around 3 a.m. Saturday on exit 194 near Jedburg. Salisbury says she died from a gunshot wound to the head.

A short time later, Dorchester County deputies spotted the car at a nightclub in St. George and arrested 28-year-old Tyler Brown-Kelly. He faces murder, kidnapping and other charges. It wasn’t clear if he had a lawyer.
