Man shot to death in Socastee

SOCASTEE, S.C. (AP) — Horry County police are investigating the shooting death of a man in Socastee.

Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard says 37-year-old Jerome Green Jr. died at the scene from several gunshot wounds.

Police Sgt. Robert Kegler says officers were called to the home around 11:30 p.m. Monday.

Kegler says detectives are working to identify suspects. No arrests have been reported.

Officers have not released a motive in the shooting.
